Having recently started training for the London Marathon in April, I arrived at Nordic Balance in quite desperate need of a sports massage. Gratefully, in-house masseuse guru, Laura, worked her magic over one especially intense hour; her various techniques tenderised me to the point of no return. However, had it not been for her, I would still be wandering around with unhealthy muscle tightness and knots galore. Don’t delay getting help! If you want to release your athletic potential, Laura’s the one to see. It helps that the location is so central too – totally convenient! Will be sure to book a follow-up in the months to come.
Nordic Balance is a fantastic gym. The space is small but has everything you need, the size is actually what makes is special as it feels so personal and all of the staff are lovely. The classes are small so near on personal training. Just a great little haven 🙂
Nice quiet gym with very competent staff. JV helped me with my numerous injuries during a busy running race schedule. Without him, I wouldn’t have crossed the finish lines! Also, the classes are small and allow the instructors to help with your technique. Highly recommend.
I work in St James’ so early morning and lunch classes are perfect for me. The gym overall is very compact. However, space is utilised well with the right equipment to suit one’s goals. The gym overall is kept clean, changing rooms/showers are perfectly acceptable! The classes are absolutely perfect! 4-6 people which gives the trainer an opportunity to check on everyone’s form. I’ve done Aliz’s classes and she has been exceptional! Very knowledgeable and pays attention to each individuals technique. Would highly recommend!
Nordic Balance……my secret sanctuary in the City! A small but perfectly formed gym with a selection of fantastic trainers and great changing rooms! Monday and Tuesday mornings would not be the same without a kick start from Aliz, a great trainer, motivator and music curator to start the week on a high.
I have joined this gym a little more than a year ago and I am delighted with this decision ever since. It combines everything I have been looking for. It is clean, it has all the equipment I need, yet it’s small enough not to feel out of place and the best part of it is its staff! I also highly recommend PT classes, and Aliz in particular. It’s also a bargain compared to other high-end gyms out there and really worth the money.
Such a wonderful gym – great equipment, a friendly team of trainers, and the perfect size and vibe for me. And Liz! Where would I be without Liz! I started a course of personal training with her after surgery, and haven’t been able to let her go since. She’s hugely knowledgeable, has taught me so much about movement and training for my own body and needs, pushes me in all of the ways I need most and is absolutely the best part of my day. Even at 06:30!
Great gym, great staff, really dedicated and detailed training sessions with Alessandro who always goes the extra mile. A very happy member who will definitely continue to train there. great value for money.
Nordic Balance and the team have helped me become the fittest and healthiest I’ve ever been in my life. With their help, advice, coaching and training I’ve transformed from being a fat overweight man into a fitter thinner man. I love training and working out – something I never thought I’d ever say!

Andy at Nordic Balance is a highly experienced and professional Osteopath. He was able to quickly diagnose my issues and conduct a treatment plan that really worked for me. He takes the time to take you through the function of the body and describe the different techniques, and is a very good listener. I would highly recommend him!
Quite simply the best gym in London in the best location. The trainers are exceptional and are able to provide a holistic approach to fitness. A special mention to Aliz, who makes you run further, row harder and do more squats than you ever thought possible and always with energy, enthusiasm and a big smile whatever the time of day.
Review of Jean-Vincent Michel – Physio. I first came to see Jean-Vincent with a snapping in my hip and tight feeling around knees. Immediately he made me feel comfortable and was so knowledgeable and skilled in approach. After just the 1st session there was a noticeable difference and I am now fully healed. He was so giving with this knowledge and tips/exercises for me to follow through on post each session. I’ve seen Physio’s before but none quite a good as Jean-Vincent. He has also helped several of my colleagues and we all call him the miracle worker. He is truly talented and a lovely, warm and welcoming person. Thank you so much! I hope I won’t need more physio again in the future but should I, I will only be coming back to you.
Training with Liz has truly been a holistic experience. Her skill and ability in yoga and other associated disciplines is second to none. She also takes a keen interest in your health & well-being generally. She makes it very hard to change to anyone else…how could they match-up? More Liz, please!
