About the Gym
With its unique design and layout features, exposed brickwork and beautiful arch ceilings, Nordic Balance at the In and Out is steeped with history and rich heritage. Set within an impressive 330 year old building that used to be home to the Earl of Kent and more recently Nancy Astor, the health club is complete with fully equipped weights and cardio rooms, swimming pool with Fast Lane and sauna, class studio and the oldest squash court in London.
Our holistic approach means that we offer a rounded and balanced approach to fitness and overall wellbeing. Our multi-disciplinary team can work with you from acute injury, right through to training for an event (and everything in between). Work across our team to get training which is focussed and tailored to your needs, and most importantly which adapts to you as your life changes.
For those that enjoy getting sweaty with strangers, or finding their zen in a yoga class, our studio (lovingly called The Moose Room) hosts a range of small group classes. With a maximum of 6 people per class, our teachers get hands-on and give you all the correction and attention you need to help you to develop in a safe and fun environment.
We welcome you to visit us, and experience a personal and intimate environment which feels like a different world compared to the hustle and bustle of busy London outside.
Note that you don’t need to be a member of our gym in order to attend our classes, or work with our trainers.
Why do I like to train at Nordic Balance? It’s fun, it’s challenging, and it’s thoughtful. I enjoy the variety and whilst it can be tough and at times uncomfortable, my training is always targeted and varied according to my very specific needs. There is great deal of thought and technical knowledge going into my sessions. It’s a small gym and everyone is very friendly and very positive — we have a lot of laughs!
