I want to be big and strong- German Volume Training week 7

My weight has gone down to 67.6 kg for the usual Monday 10am weigh in but I’m looking forward to improving my performance this week. My diet was pretty awful over the weekend, I consumed far to much sugar and as a result I’m feeling tired today despite having a very unusual 9 hours sleep.

Monday- todays session was the worst performance of all of my 6 weeks doing GVT. I only got to set 4 on bench press 55kg before failing to reach 10 reps and set 5 on lat pull on level 5. I trained at 16.00 today and it definitely had a negative effect on my energy levels. Oh well, I’ll put that session behind me and its onwards and upwards for the rest of the week….

Tuesday- after yesterdays poor session todays leg session could only be an improvement. I am really pleased as I managed to complete 10×10 squats at 75kg which is an increase on last week. Followed by 5×10 Kb swings at 20kg and 10kg medicine ball bosu crunches. I have eaten well and look forward to a rest tomorrow. I wonder what the doms will be like???

Wednesday- rest day, doms in my legs have reached a 6/10 and I have managed to eat well and a reasonable amount today. I have drunk far to much coffee especially as its a non training day. Tomorrow off again and back in the gym Friday.

Thursday- rest day- I have still got slight doms in my glutes but should be ok for my session tomorrow. I’ve eaten really well today and pretty big.

Friday- push press weight up to 37.5kg abduction I got to set 6 before failing so pretty pleased. I completed 10×10 on bi curl 10kg and tri extent level 9. So a good session all in all.

Saturday- I’ve eaten quite well today although possibly could have eaten more. Out for tapas tonight…. good job its the cheat window.
